 The site was long due for an overhaul. The previous site was dense with information and every open space was filled with ads. The new site is open and airy, with ads strategically placed to get results without annoying users.

Much to the Reader’s chagrin, the site launched deep into Covid lockdown, when no one was going anywhere. We had to act fast to include virtual events in our listings.

 The last site redesign had been in 2012. At that time, Jessica contributed site design mockups to a small in-house development team. Previous to that redesign, the Reader had been using generic templates provided by the CMS.
